Patrick Eugene Owens

Pastor Patrick Eugene Owens, 62, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

Born in Lima, Ohio, to Eugene and Ingrid Owens, Patrick lived a life marked by faithfulness, humility, and service. For 20 years, he faithfully served as Custodial Supervisor for the Hardin County School Board, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and kind spirit.

In May of 2021, he answered the call to serve as Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. Long before becoming pastor, Patrick had been a devoted member of his church for many years, serving wherever there was a need. His ministry included bus ministry, Sunday School teacher, Assistant Pastor, song leader, and providing special music. Having dedicated his life to the Lord more than 50 years ago, he was passionate about sharing his faith. Even in his final months, his heart for others never waned - just two months before his passing, he led two souls to the Lord while fourteen guests stood gathered in the room.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ingrid Owens.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda Renee Owens of Elizabethtown; his sons, Sean Owens of Elizabethtown, Nathan (Heather) Owens of Elizabethtown, Jacob Owens of Elizabethtown, and Jordan Owens of Elizabethtown; his sisters, Natalie (Dean) Klinger of Indiana and Diana Owens of Hawaii; his brothers, Dr. Jeff (Scherry) Owens and Erick (Pam) Owens; and his cherished grandchildren, Riona, Emma-Lee, Aleister, Aiden, Ezra, Xavier, Judah, and Maddie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, with Pastor Tracy Bussard officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Manakee Funeral Home.
