Walter, David A. and Linda D.
David A. Walter, 78, of Hurricane left this world to be in the loving arms of Jesus on January 10, 2024.
Linda D. Walter, 76 of Hurricane followed her loving and devoted husband through the Pearly Gates of Heaven on January 11, 2024.
Originally from Nitro, WV David attended Nitro High School, while Linda grew up in St. Albans, WV and attended St. Albans High School. Theirs was a love story that lasted 41 years. She was a single Mother of three, and he was a single father of 2. It was love at first sight, and after a whirlwind 3-week romance, they married in Pearisburg, Va. on March 20, 1982
David and Linda were preceded in death by there parents, and son Adam W. Summers. They are survived by children Tina Bledsoe (Larry), Daniel Summers (Kathi), Chester Walter and Tina McDaniel, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ohio's Hospice Of Dayton, in Dayton, OH, for the compassion and loving care they gave to our parents during this very difficult time.
A combined Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Claude Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Park Visitation will be from 12 noon til 1:00 prior to the service on Wednesday.
