On November 1st, 2026, Linda Lee Wells went to her heavenly home to join her beloved husband, Ben. Linda passed peacefully at Regency Retirement Village in Jackson, TN. Linda was born to Carl Edgar Gatewood and Hazel Lee Gatewood (Andrews) on May 18th, 1938, in Blytheville, AR. Linda and Ben were married on January 30th, 1960. They resided in Osceola, AR.
Linda was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Osceola. She sang in the choir and with her beautiful voice she often sang solos. Linda worked at the Drainage District and was City Treasurer of Osceola. Linda was very active. She and Ben played tennis almost every day. Linda was competitive and won many tournaments.
Linda is survived by son, Cary Wells and his wife, Lisa (Jackson. TN.); daughter, Beth Profeta and her husband, Steve (Dallas, TX.); brother Bill Gatewood (Osceola, AR.); and grandchildren, Andrew Wells (Jackson, TN.), Rachel Profeta (Chicago, IL.) and Grace Profeta (Dallas, TX).
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; parents, Carl and Hazel; brothers, Clifford Gatewood, Floyce Gatewood, and Carl Wayne Gatewood.
