Linda Lee Harbord White, 69, passed away May 30, 2025 after a lengthy illness in St. Joseph, MO. Born September 17, 1955 in St. Joseph, MO to Edward Benton Harbord, Sr. and Clella Mae (Shay) Harbord.
Linda was raised in Elwood, KS where she was a proud Elwood Panther. Later she would become a Certified Nurses Assistant, working for several companies and specialized in in-home health care.
In 1970, Linda worked her first job as a teen at a restaurant in her hometown as a dish washer. She also worked a few other jobs like Whitaker Cable, Paxton Metal Craft before staying home with her children. Linda found her calling when she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, working at various companies and doing In-Home Health until she was medically disabled.
It was 1975, Linda would meet her soul mate, Harry Arthur White. They became a blended family as Harry had three sons and Linda had two daughters. Later in life they would have 2 children of their own and marry. Linda was a member of Shepherd Church in Cameron, MO. She loved movies, word search books, coloring, cooking, taking road trips, collecting angels and painted rocks, spending time with her family and loved ones. She most recently took interest in canvas painting by number. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, sister Connie Penland, brothers Edward Harbord Jr & Dick Harbord, stepson Michael White, grandson Derrien Parks. Survived by her Children: Terresa (Alfred) Redman, Izetta (Timothy) Johnson, Harrietta (Anthony) Williams, Barry (Denise) White, Pete White & Harry Brewer. Grandchildren: Marissa, Randy (Ashley), Chantee' (Jason), TeLiah, LaTrell (TazJah), Ezerah, Cheyenne, Brieden, Allison, Emily, Stephen, Jeffrey, Nevaeh, Marko, Krista and Harry. Great-Grandchildren: Brandon, Zayden, Armony, Levant, RaMello, Kamden, King, A'laysia, A'Siyah, Royalty, Riley, Addilynn, Kimora, Violet and Layla. Siblings: Luella (Phil) Little and Dean Harbord. She left behind a host of other beloved family members, friends and loved ones. For those of you asking, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to 321 N 7th St, POBox 1004, St Joseph, MO 64502. We will use these funds to purchase a bench sit on when you visit her. Any leftover proceeds will go towards planting a fruit tree in her honor, as she loved feeding people. Homegoing Celebration First Presbyterian Church 301 N 7th St Saturday, June 14 at 1:00 pm, visitation 12 noon at the church, interment Ashland Cemetery.
