Linda was born on June 8th,1950 to Jack Carl Abbott & Mildred Helen (Allgood) Abbott in Ft. Worth TX & graduated from Pottsboro High School in 1968.
Linda spent 22 years working at LOF in Sherman TX and then another 22 years working for Cigna Healthcare in Denison TX, retiring on 12/29/2023 where she touched many lives both with her team mates as well as the customers she helped along the way. All who knew Linda knew her love of people and her silly sense of humor. Linda loved gardening, spending time at the lake with family and friends and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren watching them in baseball & softball over the years.
Linda met her husband Tom while working at LOF and they married on June 10th, 1989. They had a happy marriage together for 35 years raising their three children. David Whitley, Meagan Parks & Brian Whitley all of Denison.
Linda leaves behind her beloved family, husband of 35 years Tom; sons David Whitley & Brian Whitley, daughter Meagan Parks and husband Jason; grandson Drew Meek & granddaughter Meredith Meek. Sister Terri Barnett and husband Dan; stepsister Amy Parker & husband Joe, sister in law Norma Grigsby. Nieces Jennifer Hendrickson, Erin Dudley, Holly Deardeuff & Dayna Short. Nephews Paul Dudley & Mark Barnett, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Linda is preceded in death by both parents, stepmother Dotny Abbott, sister Carolyn Dudley, step-sisters Eileen Wilcox & Rebecca Open & step-brother Minor Smith & step-niece Emily Woodard.
Celebration of Life for Linda will be Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 3-5, at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas.

This is very late but I'm posting for family. I was going through some files and found Linda's contact info. I haven't spoken to Linda since late 2011 when we paused our communication in my recovery from brain cancer. I tried calling Cigna but... nothing. I found this on Legacy. You need to know she was one the kindest, most helpful and caring person I've come across in life. Odd as it sounds, I was going to call and say "Linda, you probably don't remember me, but here we are, 14 years out and still doing well..."My wife and I will never forget all that Linda did for us during a very difficult time. We were so blessed to have her in our life at the right time. I find peace in knowing she is resting in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Linda went above and beyond her case coordinator role at Cigna.
