Michael Blake McDaniel

Michael Blake McDaniel, 49, entered into eternal life Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Pottsboro, Texas.
Michael was born January 23, 1976, in Fort Worth Texas. He was the second son of Jimmy Ray, and Vera Jill McDaniel. He and his family moved from Wyoming to Pottsboro in 1984. He began school in Pottsboro in the second grade through his graduation in 1994.
While attending Pottsboro, Michael was a member of National Honor Society. He was also voted as class favorite, and Mr. PHS his senior year. He was also a phenomenal all-around athlete during high school. He garnered numerous all-district honors in football, basketball, track, and baseball. He was a 2x All-State high jumper his junior, and senior year. Michael was also voted 1st team All-State catcher after his senior year in 1994. After graduation, he went on to play baseball at Hill Junior College. From there, he transferred to NCTC, where he finished his baseball career.
Michael started his roofing career in the early 2000's. From working with a number of local roofing companies, to eventually owning his own business. He received numerous sales accolades during the years. To his last, becoming salesman of the year 2022 while with K&M Roofing. He loved the work he did and was extremely knowledgeable with his craft.
Michael loved being able to coach his only daughter, Lilly's basketball team. In his spare time he enjoyed going crappie fishing. Michael also loved being able to watch his nephew, Ashton play football and baseball for the Pottsboro Cardinals.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Father Jimmy Ray McDaniel, and Mother Vera Jill McDaniel.
Michael is survived by daughter Lillyan McDaniel, brother Sean McDaniel and wife Michelle McDaniel, nephew Ashton and wife Kayla McDaniel, and nieces Tatum and Kyndall McDaniel. Also, aunts and uncles.
The love he had for his family, and friends was immeasurable! Michael was an extremely caring person, with an enormously big heart. He was always willing to help someone. Although his passing leaves a huge void in our lives, he will always live on forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life Service for Michael will be held at Noon, Friday, April 11, 2025, at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
