On November 12, 2023, Linda's spirit left her shell behind, free at last to join her Saviour Jesus, and the many loved ones welcoming her in heaven.
Born May 19, 1944, to Robert and Ona Lucas, in Pasadena, California, where Robert was stationed in World War 2. After he left for Germany, Ona took baby Linda and moved back to join her family in Springfield, Ohio. Robert joined them after the war.
When Linda was 9, the family moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she graduated from high school. After high school, she attended an airline school but ended up working as a secretary for a lawyer in Belen, New Mexico. It was here she began dating Milt Williamson, whom she had already met many times at church youth camp meetings and conventions.
After a short season of dating, they married in Las Cruces, New Mexico, in March 1963. Their daughter Vonnie and son Justin were born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After a visit to Billings, they fell in love with Montana and moved to Billings, where their son Jason was born. They settled in Shepherd.
Linda worked a variety of secretarial jobs, notably in the Shepherd Schools, Billings Cancer Center, and Faith Chapel. She also really shined as a Nursery Co-Ordinator at Faith Chapel.
Linda enjoyed crocheting and sewing, shooting targets, (a crack shot) occasionally hunting with Dad, (a head count of 7 deer), and music. At the Church of God where they attended the first 25 years, Linda led worship music, directed the choir, and sang specials, most often in a trio with Jeanine Foos and Audrey Sheely.
Linda's loved ones welcoming her in heaven are her parents Robert and Ona Lucas; stillborn twin daughters Valerie and Victoria, sister Candace Onoszko, and loving in-laws Earl and Dorothy Williamson.
Left behind missing her are her husband, Milt, daughter Vonnie (Deryl) Sheely, son Justin (Elisa) Williamson, son Jason (Rachel) Williamson, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel Health and Rehab Center, who took such wonderful care of Linda during the last season of her life. Also, so very grateful to the hospice team at Compassus.
There will be a memorial service at Dahl Funeral Chapel, on December 2, at 1 p.m. A light reception will follow.
