Linda Mead Wyher, 71, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on December 8, 2023 in Bonita Springs.
Linda was born in Wilmington, DE to Glenn and Lois Samuelson on July 9, 1952. She attended Upper Merion High School graduating in 1970. She went on to earn a BA in Christian Education from Wheaton College in Illinois. While a student, she was privileged to go to Hawaii with the Wheaton Women's Glee Club. She later became an R.N. and worked in both hospital and outpatient settings for 35 years. Along with her first husband, Rick Mead, Linda served the Vietnamese community of Philadelphia, PA. as members of International Teams. After Rick Mead passed away from cancer in 2001, she found love again and married Paul Wyher in 2007. Throughout her life, she went on several mission trips to places such as Kenya with Rick, as well as China and Brazil with Paul. Linda's Christian faith and devotion to God were evident to all who knew her. She was a faithful member of Oak River Church. Linda enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was most happy while swimming in the pool or a spending a day at the beach. Her love of the beach started at an early age when she spent many summers in Ocean Grove, NJ with her family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul, of Bonita Springs, her children Blaine Mead (Jerusha Paige), Haley Henahan (John), her son-in-law Shawn Bashline, her stepchildren Erin Mullaney (Tom), Nick and her eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Donald Samuelson (Priscilla). She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Lois Samuelson, her first husband, Rick Mead and her daughter, Glenna Bashline.
Memorial service will be held at a later date. The family kindly requests donations in Linda's memory be made to the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association.
