Lindley Ervin Boyd Sr. of Columbus MS passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was born on July 19, 1947 in Columbus, MS, to George Peeples Boyd and Lady Dare Griffin. Lindley will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, love of fishing, and talent for playing the piano. He loved his family deeply, and his legacy lives on in all who knew and loved him. A proud Vietnam veteran, he is survived by his devoted wife, Karen; his three children, Lindley Jr. (Dana) of Aurora, CO, Kirstin (Mark) of Germantown, TN, and Trooper (Elina) of Washington, DC, and his four cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother George Peeples Boyd Jr. (June) of Columbus, MS, along with many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private service has been held with his closest family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lindley’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
