Lindsey Renae Ferguson, of Powell, passed away Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.
Lindsey knew no strangers and her positive spirit touched all she met.
Lindsey loved her family, friends, music, poetry, the ocean, the mountains, making friends laugh and Frankie and Blueberry, her cats.
She attended Powell High School and Pellissippi State Community College.
Lindsey previously worked as a teacher and counselor at Helen Ross McNabb and Peninsula Rehabilitation & Treatment Center.
She is preceded in death by her Grandmothers Josephine Anderson Hall and Frances Raines Ferguson, her Grandfather Rev. Dr. J.W.E. Ferguson, her Aunts Shiela Sweet and Debbie Varnes and her Uncle James W. Ferguson and her Cousin Christina Varnes Mabry.
Lindsey is lovingly remembered by her mother, Beverly Anderson Ferguson; father, Tom E. Ferguson; stepmother, Kathryn G. Ferguson; brother, Benjamin C. Ferguson(Taylor); aunt, Stephanie Bryant; stepsisters, Angela Boydston (John), Kelly Anne Nystrom (Frank); nieces, Sadie Anderson, Caroline Nystrom, Sarah Jane Nystrom and Layla Irvine; nephews, Ethan Helton, Preston Bryant and Robin Farmer and Frankie and Blueberry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, 6717 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM at Rose Funeral & Cremation - Mann. Online condolences may be made at www. Rosefuneraltn.com

Lindsey indeed never met a stranger and was one of the kindest humans that I have ever known. I recall so many wonderful memories with her and my sincere condolences go out to her family. She has been taken far too soon and will be missed.

I've known Linds as I called her for over 20 years. She was such an intelligent, happy, kind, loving person. I've always loved her laugh. I will miss her dearly.
