Link Walker Plauche, age 3 of Goudeau, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Link brought so much joy and laughter to his family and all that knew him. He was a ball of energy. He was sweet and tender, a cuddly baby and toddler, and would still put his head on your shoulder and give sweet kisses to only a few. He loved to pick, and wind people up for a reaction. His smile would light up the room. His precious, long-lashed brown eyes would gleam and wrinkle, as he would smile with his whole face. Everyday his life was filled with love, to and from his large family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and mostly his great big sissy, Scarlett. He was a Mama's boy and Daddy's boy. A lover of any candy, cookies, or snack, but especially chocolate. He really loved to help cook. He was so thankful for everything. A baby with a heart for Jesus, he even thanked God for convenient store snacks. Link understood forgiveness. He always gave forgiveness and was quick to say sorry. Link enjoyed his first time at VBS this summer and was playing T-ball. He loved boy stuff- trucks, tractors, construction equipment, and sharks. He had an impressive knowledge of types of dinosaurs and ducks. He loved identifying all types of ducks. His favorites were pintails and mallards. He loved hunting and fishing. He loved animals, especially his puppies. And bucking bulls and always "practiced" rodeoing. A cowboy and an expert goat wrangler. Link loved getting dirty, chasing frogs and playing with live crawfish. He was so brave and tried everything, even if he was a little scared, he dared himself to go beyond. He loved Spider-Man. Link said that He was a Superhero, and he was right! His heroism to others is realized through the gift organ donation. He is preceded in death by his maternal great-great-grandfather, Andres Pourciaux and his paternal great-grandfather, Teddie Bordelon. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; Cameron and Emily Link Plauche of Goudeau; his sister, Scarlett Rose Plauche of Goudeau; his maternal grandparents, Kyle and Tessie Girouard Link of Goudeau; paternal grandparents, Blake and Allison Bordelon Plauche of Plaucheville; maternal great-grandparents, Karl and Juanita Pourciaux Girouard of Broussard and Ronnie and Geraldine Richard Link of Goudeau; paternal great-grandparents, Cynthia Scallan Bordelon of Plaucheville and Gary and Carol Rabalais Plauche of Plaucheville; maternal great-great-grandmother, Suzanne Robin Pourciaux of Breaux Bridge and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be his uncles; Weston Link, Clayton Link, Colton Link, Riley Plauche, Ryan Plauche and Caiden Plauche. The family wants to thank the nurses and staff at Bunkie General Hospital who were so supportive, kind, and caring through this terrible experience. We appreciate all of those who have prayed and reached out. Please respect our privacy at this time. We will be having a closed service for family only and ask for no children. Please continue to pray for us. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home.
