Linkon David Campbell, age 16, of Menan, Idaho, returned to his Heavenly Father on November 10, 2025, following a tragic car accident. His passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Linkon was born on May 18, 2009, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Tyler and Melissa Campbell. In 2010 the Campbell family moved from their first home in Rexburg to beautiful Swan Valley, where the open spaces and mountain air sparked in him a lifelong love for the outdoors. In 2013, the family moved to Grant, Idaho.
Linkon was active in Cub Scouts and earned his Arrow of Light Award, and loved going to activities especially while his mom was his leader. He loved playing basketball and football with his friends and being coached by his dad. When Linkon was 13 their family moved to Menan, where he quickly made the most of country living. He loved spending time outdoors—camping with his family, riding anything with wheels, shooting guns, hunting with cousins, working on a project with his grandpa, and even helping dispose of skunks in the middle of the night— proving to be a better shot than either of his parents.
He was a hard worker and took great pride in his most recent job farming. Even the long harvest nights, the kind that stretched until sunrise, were moments he embraced wholeheartedly. Above everything else, Linkon cherished his family. As the second of four children, he was an amazing brother. He and his older brother, Jaxon—only 20 months apart—grew up as best friends, partners in adventure, and occasional accomplices. His younger brother, Rigdon, and his sister, Ari, always knew how deeply he loved them; he was their protector, mentor, and friend. Linkon attended Midway Elementary, Farnsworth Middle School, and was currently a junior at Rigby High School.
As was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he found joy in attending the temple with his family and friends. He had a quick wit, a love for a spirited debate, and an infectious laugh that could fill a room. Anyone who spent time with him knew the warmth of his humor and the goodness of his heart.
Linkon touched countless lives with his kindness. He had an innate ability to sense when someone needed help and never hesitated to step in. Whether offering a hand, a joke, or simply his presence, he made others feel seen and valued.
Linkon is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to inspire kindness, courage, and love in the lives he touched.
He was welcomed to his Heavenly home by his Grandma Linda (Barnes) and his uncle David “Cory” Campbell.
He leaves behind his loving parents, Tyler and Melissa Campbell, brothers Jaxon and Rigdon, and sister Ari. Grandparents Gail and Stephen Hales, John and Christine Campbell, and Scott and Teresa Barnes, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
