Linus D. Christman

Linus D. Christman, 66, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at home on October 11, 2025.
Born April 3, 1959, in Chambersburg, he was a son of Lee and Nancy Louise Deitrich Christman of Edenville, PA.
Linus graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1977 and worked for many years at TB Woods, James River, as a self – employed painting contractor, and drove trucks for ABF. Linus enjoyed riding motorcycles, motocross racing, and traveling.
In addition to his parents, Linus is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl L. (Rockwell) Christman, a daughter, Brandy (Gregory) Lanosz of Ft. Loudon, and a son, Brock (Ashley) Christman, of Mercersburg. He is survived by 6 grandchildren, Triton, Kane, and Ryder Christman, McKenna Rosenberry, Carmen and Gage Lanosz, a sister Leann (Rodney) Amsley, of Edenville, and nephews, Travis (Ayako) Amsley and Ryan (Jennifer) Amsley. Linus had many close friends, neighbors, and coworkers, their love and support was greatly appreciated throughout his lifetime and during his Inness.
A funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor Jane Nicholson officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service and burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Chambersburg at 43 West Washington St. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
