Linwood Newcomb, Jr. Obituary
Linwood Allen Newcomb, Jr., 67, of Lucama passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Kenly Town Cemetery. Brother Ervin Lewis will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 12 – 1:15 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Linwood was an ASE Certified Paint man with J.C. Harris Pontiac and Pooles Body Shop of Wilson. He was a fun-loving man that held his family close to his heart. He will be greatly missed and thought of often.
Linwood is survived by his son, Chris Newcomb; daughter, Melissa Shader and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Hannah Newcomb, Jacob Newcomb, Julianne Gibson, and Madison Etheridge; great-grandchild, Allyson Gibson; brothers, Michael Newcomb and wife, Michelle, Timothy Wayne Newcomb and wife, Deborah, and Jeffrey Dale Newcomb and wife, Lorrie; sister, Elizabeth Ann Murray and husband, Charles and his dog, Monk Monk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and JoAnn Newcomb.
