Lionel Richard Carter

Lionel Richard Carter, aged 72, passed away on the morning of March 1, 2024, at Chateau Napoleon Caring in Napoleonville, LA. Preceding him in death were his beloved parents and brother, Rev. George Carter Sr. He is survived by his daughters, Aiesha Carter-Zapata of New Orleans, LA., and Bianca Taylor-Howard of St. Paul, MN., along with four amazing grandsons, DreVonnte Dunkins, Aaron Howard Jr., Cartez Zapata, and Jaxon Howard. Lionel is also remembered by his siblings, Anthony Carter Sr., Gerald Carter, and Tyronne Carter.
Lionel held dear roles in the lives of his loved ones, serving as a devoted godfather to Shekeitha Carter (Moody) and a loving uncle to Anthony Carter Jr. (Peddy), Tamika Larvadain, Tyeisha Dupas, Natasha Dupas, as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives. Lionel found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly spending time with his family and pursuing his passion for working as a mechanic and sitting under his tree.
While Lionel's journey with cancer has come to a close, his spirit and smile will endure in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him dearly. May he find eternal peace.
