Lisa Nanette Attebery, age 68, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Heart to Heart Hospice in Evansville, IN.
Lisa was known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering support of her family and friends. She spent the latter part of her career as co-owner of LNG Builders, a business she built and ran alongside her late husband, Gary Attebery. Together, they took pride in their work and built lasting relationships throughout the community.
Lisa was a proud Kentucky Colonel and a former president of the Smith Mills Lions Club. She had a strong sense of service and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She enjoyed a full and active life, with a love for bowling, golf, and cheering on her favorite team---the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Nothing brought her more joy than watching her grandson, Hudson play sports. Watching him play baseball, basketball, and golf brought her endless pride and happiness. He was truly the light of her life.
Lisa was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Gary Attebery; her father, Hugh "Tom" Grigg; and her grandparents. She is survived by her partner, Allen DeShields of Clarksville, TN; her son, Thomas Fears (Karen) and daughter Sara Couch (Brent) all of Evansville, IN; her grandson Hudson Couch and her beloved mother; Jackie Grigg of Henderson, KY; sisters Kathy Martin (Larry) of Henderson, KY and Kristi Melton (Alan) of Denver, CO; as well as several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Lisa was a loyal friend, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a woman who left her mark on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to Lisa's Life Celebration from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 10, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Steve Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
