Lisa Braaten

Lisa Braaten, age 51, of Lowry City, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024. A Memorial/Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Park Grove Christian Church (11745 SE Hwy NN) Deepwater, Missouri.(Google maps has the location about one mile further North than the actual location of the church). Lisa D. Braaten (Kelley), born October 1st, 1972, passed away July 15th, 2024, at Lee's Summit Medical Center.
Lisa's life was characterized by hardship and pain, but she faced each day with love and forgiveness. She loved when other people wouldn't. She loved even when she didn't have to. She showed her love in a unique way to every individual in her life. There was never any doubt that you were important to her. Her ability to forgive and love others is a testament to God's love and forgiveness, making her an inspiration to all who knew her.
Lisa was a woman of many talents, including drawing, painting, dancing, and singing. Music and singing were a big part of Lisa's life, and she would often be found rocking out or belting out to one of her favorite tunes. Her musical preferences were diverse, with the Gather Vocal Band and Home Free being at the top of her list.
She had a gorgeous singing voice and enjoyed using it to lead worship on Sundays as a member of the praise team.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Wade A Braaten, her three stepchildren Jonathan A. Braaten of Hurricane, UT, Janine A. (Braaten) Moore (Stephen W. Moore) of Deepwater, MO, and Jessica A. Braaten of Bourbonnais, IL, her six step grandchildren, Taylor Braaten of St. George, UT, Christian J. Braaten, Edward Austin Lohman II of Bourbonnais, IL, Isabella F. Moore, Olivia R. Moore, and Wade J. Moore of Deepwater, MO, her mother Kathy (Warren) Korfhage, her sister Julie (Curtis) Sipu and their children Megan, Ashley and Josh, and her brother Jeff Kelley.
She was preceded in death by her sons Jeremiah J. Huff and Tyler S. Kelley, and her dad James M. Kelley
