Lisa Hunt Dietrich, 61, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Lisa was born on January 6, 1964, to James and Judith Hunt in Sandusky, Ohio. She earned her DDS degree from The Ohio State University. There, she met her beloved husband of 35 years, Dr. Todd Dietrich. Lisa and Todd were married in Akron in 1990. Together, they raised five beautiful children and built a life filled with love, faith and service to others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many.
An extraordinary gardener who had a deep love for her farm and fashion, Lisa – known to some as the “Farmer in Chanel” – stylishly shared her beautiful flowers with many in the Akron community and beyond. She served as an active member in her church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Akron, and lived her life through the lens of Christ. Above all else, she was most proud of her role as a mother to her five children and “Minnie” to her four grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Todd; children, Hannah (Andy), Andrew (Kathleen), Claire (Zach), Simon (Kalie) and Ellen; grandchildren, Eleanor, Dean, Ruth and Elizabeth; mother, Judith; and sister, Andrea. She is preceded in death by her father, James.
