Lisa Jean Giese, 62, Marathon, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024 at her home in the presence of her children and significant other after losing her battle with cancer.
She was born August 21, 1962 in Wausau, daughter of the late Raymond and Lucille (Krueger) Brueggeman.
Lisa graduated from Athens High School. Over the course of her years, she obtained a 2-year Computer programming degree at NTC in Wausau as well as later another 2 year Paralegal degree from Rasmussen College in Wausau. Lisa worked at Wausau Insurance for about 20 years, where she also enjoyed playing the piccolo, flute, and oboe in the Wausau Insurance Band. In later years, Lisa also worked for 2 law firms in the Wausau area, the latest one being Mallory & Zimmerman.
Lisa decided to leave the working field to pursue her deep and growing passion for creative coloring/artwork and diamond painting. She created an online presence with her hobby about 8-10 years ago, which grew quickly, and she started her own YouTube channel called Lisa's Coloring Corner. Her channel has since grown to over 10,000 followers.
Outside of Lisa's love for her creative hobby, she was a huge Packer's fan (yes, she was one of those fans that was yelling & rooting at the TV even during Pre-Season games). She loved her family and was a loving mother/grandma/sister/companion.
Lisa was always very supportive of others around her, helping anyone when they needed it. She had a soft spirit, and it was easy to make her laugh (which was contagious). She loved all holidays, Christmas being her most ultimate favorite! She LOVED to decorate for the season and wrap those gifts and give them to others. She really just loved to give in general! Presents at Christmas, candy for Halloween, egg hunts for Easter.
Everyone who knew Lisa, or have been to her house, immediately knows her favorite color purple. She was an animal lover and loved her fur babies. Lisa also enjoyed being outside, cleaning the pool and having fires when her kids were younger and up until her last days, she loved swinging in her chair out front and mowing her lawn with the push mower. That fresh grass smell was her favorite.
Survivors include her children, Tanya Hall from Edgar, Heather (Adam) Jacobsen from Tomahawk, Cameron (Leah) Giese from Green Bay, and Mallory (Joe) Mroczenski from Marathon; 8 beautiful grandchildren, Noah/Nel Ballard, Jayden Kaseno, Logan Cleeremans, Konnor Schilling, Madisen Jacobsen, Levi Jacobsen, Vincent Giese, and Baby Girl Mroczenski; her significant other of 14 years, Bob Schreier; former husband, Steve Giese; her four siblings, Sherry Brueggeman-Olson, Rose (Bill) Heier, Steve (Along) Brueggeman, and Amy (Dale) Dahlke; and brother-in-law, Bill Bandock.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Giese, and a sister, Cathy Bandock.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. The Rev. Gail Sowell will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Visitation will be held on Saturday from Noon until the time of services, all at the Marathon funeral home.
