Lisa Johnson Obituary

Lisa Verville Johnson, affectionately known as "Noony," passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, in Greenville, NC, at the age of 60. Born on November 12, 1964, in Kalamazoo, MI, Lisa was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, and loyal friend.

Lisa's life was a testament to love and dedication. She was a loving housewife who found joy in nurturing her family and home. Her interests were as vibrant as her spirit, encompassing sewing, baking, cooking, painting, and arts & crafts, particularly diamond painting. She had a deep appreciation for Christian music, classic rock and roll music and delighted in the simple pleasures of avocados, strawberries, and kiwis.

Her family was the center of her world. Lisa was a beloved wife to Frank Johnson, whom she lovingly tricked into their first date, sparking a lifelong romance. She was a devoted mother to her children, always wanting them dearly. Her loyalty and love extended to her church community at Vandemere Baptist Church, where she was a valued member.

Lisa is preceded in death by her beloved son, Ryan Joseph Johnson; her father, Willard Verville Sr.; her sister-in-law, Lillian Wheeler (Bryant); and nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Johnson; her mother Agnus Garbinson; her cherished children, Jermiah Johnson and Valarie Morse (Brian); her adored grandsons, Joseph Johnson and David Morse; her brothers, Willard Verville Jr. (Joy) and Joe Verville; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Services to honor and celebrate Lisa's life will be held with family and friends gathering to remember the warmth and kindness she brought into their lives. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the memories of Lisa's laughter, her unwavering love for her family, and the beautiful life she lived. May she rest in eternal peace.
