Lisa Marie Lamping passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on the afternoon of January 9th, 2024. She departed this world after a battle with metastatic breast cancer and is survived by a large, loving family. She leaves behind her husband Kristopher, their children Connor, Jenna (Richard), and Collin (Montana) who blessed Lisa with her precious grandbabies Sutton and Asher. She is also survived by her Mother Lois, Father James and her siblings Jim (Lisa), Mark, Cari (Ty), Krista (Tom), Margot, Emily (Jason) and Eric (Molly), and Kris' mother, his siblings, and their spouses, twenty-six total nieces and nephews as well as countless friends and colleagues.

To say she lost her battle with cancer would not be appropriate because she never stopped fighting. Through her first round of colon cancer, breast cancer and its return, she always remained positive and determined. While others would have lost hope, she laughed in the face of danger. Through her, her family has learned resiliency and love. Just because she is no longer with us does not mean she lost her fight. Her spirit and hope live on through all those she has touched and known in her lifetime.

Lisa met her husband Kris at the age of 14 while a student at St. Ursula Academy. They were married six years later in 1986, and their everlasting and unconditional love produced three children: Collin 35, Jenna 30, and Connor 19. She taught each of her children the values she embodied every day - love, acceptance, and support. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she brought her shining smile and bright personality to them daily. She lived to see her eldest son Collin marry and find joy in fatherhood, her daughter Jenna marry and pursue her dreams, and her youngest son Connor graduate from St. Xavier High School and become the man he is today. She loved digging her toes in the sand, having a cold beer on the lake, and playing board/card games with her family. Most of all she loved her family and the joy they brought her through their antics and shared love.

Lisa began her career as a nurse after graduating from The College of Mount St. Joseph in 1987. She found her passion working with babies and mothers in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She returned to school to pursue a Nurse Practitioner degree from University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and continued her career at Miami Valley Hospital. She spent her life changing and saving lives with a passion few can boast. Through her service to her patients and their families, the NICU has elected to honor Lisa through an award given to those who exemplify her warm smile, vibrant personality, words of hope, and acts of kindness.

The family extends their invitation to honor Lisa on Thursday, 1/25 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm for visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044, with Mass on Friday, 1/26 at 10:30am at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon St., Monroe, OH 45050. That service will be followed by a celebration of her life at March First Brewery, 7885 E Kemper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249, 12:30pm - 3:30pm.
