Lisa Lauder Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the best Momma, Nina, sister and friend- Lisa Lauder, a woman whose life was defined by unconditional love and selfless generosity. She found eternal peace on August 6, 2025, surrounded by family, giving her the same love she so freely gave to others throughout her life. Lisa was born January 26, 1971, in Decatur, Georgia.

Lisa had a heart big enough to hold the world, and she filled it with kindness, laughter, and generosity. To know her was to be touched by her love. She gave without expectation, loved without limits and welcomed everyone with open arms. Whether it was through giving you her last dollar, a listening ear to ramble to, the most comforting hug, or simply the light of her presence, she had a way of making every person feel seen, valued, and loved. You knew Momma, Nina, your sister- or whatever you called her- saw the real you- and would never dream of judging you or loving you any less- even on days you felt like you might deserve it.

Her life was a living example of compassion. She believed in the beauty of giving- not just material things, but her time, patience, and understanding. Her generosity reached beyond her family to anyone she encountered. She took in any stray ducklings that crossed her path and tried her best to care for them, helping in any way she could, guiding them with patience, and a million chances. Her greatest joy came from caring for those around her. She celebrated every milestone, grieved alongside those in sorrow, and never missed a chance to encourage someone in need. Her love was steady, her laughter contagious.

Her humor was as much a part of her as her compassion. She had a quick wit and a playful spirit, and a way of making even the toughest days a little brighter. Whether she was sharing a funny story, delivering a perfectly timed one-liner, or laughing until you couldn't breathe, she reminded everyone around her not to take life too seriously.

Lisa is survived by her children Kimberly Miller-Griffin & (Casey Griffin), Edward Lauder, Jennifer & (Fabio) Meza-Ocampo, and Ted Lauder; her grandchildren: Jaden Brady, Maria Nolasco Gomez, Zander Brady, Alexis Green, Meyson Meza, Axel Meza; stepfather: Lawrence & (Tracy) Lee, Siblings: Jessica & (Kevin) Sokol, Brandon & (Liuba) Lee; Nieces and Nephews: Ashley, Kristina, Loryn, Randi, Noah, Ayda, Luca, Uncle: Steve Newton, sons from another mother Ron, Nate and Tristan that she claimed as her own, and countless other cherished family and friends. Lisa was preceded in death by her daughter Whitney Nolasco Gomez, her parents Margaret Lee and Ted Pickens, sister Lea Pickens, grandparents Arthur & Helen Newton, Thomas & Sara Pickens, and many other cherished loved ones.

"I love you"- Momma, Nina, Lisa. Her last words will live on in our hearts forever, as will her beautiful memory.
