On August 10, 2025, Lisa Renee Lynch went home to her savior. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Heavy are the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Lisa was born on September 27, 1954, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Elmer and Helen McCoy. In 1973, she enlisted in the United States Navy, where she served for more than a decade, retiring at the rank of E-6. During her service, she met her husband, Harold Eugene Lynch. After they married, they were stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, where they welcomed three children. The family later moved to Agana, Guam, where their fourth child was born, and then to Norfolk, Virginia for the birth of their youngest. While in Virginia, Lisa concluded her military career with an honorable discharge. She was a caretaker by nature. She was someone who listened without judgement, loved without conditions, and showed up for the people in her life no matter the distance or time. She gave countless hours of volunteering in Springfield Public Schools. She worked tirelessly without expecting recognition or accolades, making sure classrooms had the help they needed, children had someone to encourage them, and teachers had extra support during their busy days. Whether reading to students, organizing supplies, or making copies, she treated each task as meaningful. To many students, she became Grandma Lisa, a trusted adult who believed in them when they struggled to believe in themselves. Her children and grandchildren knew her as their anchor; she was the one they could call in celebration or in crisis, certain she would answer. They turned to her for advice, comfort, and reassurance, knowing she would understand and be patient with them. She celebrated their victories as if they were her own, and she carried their burdens with her. Her love was not just spoken, but proven repeatedly through her sacrifices, her faithfulness, and her unwavering belief in them. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Helen McCoy; her husband, Harold Eugene Lynch; and her son Charles Eugene Lynch. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, siblings, and many friends and colleagues whose lives she had touched through her service and compassion. A service to honor Lisa's life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Central Christian Church, 1475 N. Washington, Springfield, Missouri. All who knew her are welcome to celebrate and remember this woman who loved so deeply. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
