In Loving Memory of Doris Leann Rummelt
February 3, 1958 – August 10, 2025 Doris Leann Rummelt, 67, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Born on February 3, 1958, in Holland, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of Cecil and Ruby Harrell. Doris was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and a heart that touched everyone she met. She had a rare gift of making each person feel uniquely special-showering those around her with kindness, warmth, and compassion. Often described as a "jewel," Doris lived a life full of grace and generosity. Everything she did, she did with love. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Rummelt; her two loving children, Amy Verdusco and Robert Rummelt III (Caitlin); and her cherished dog, Aprel May, who was also a beloved member of the family. Doris was a proud and doting grandmother to Bianca Verdusco, Lillyana Verdusco, Hunter Simons, Robert Rummelt IV, Keirra Simons, Joey Verdusco, and Mason Rummelt. She is also survived by her siblings, Danny Harrell, Deborah Kelch, and David Harrell, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends-all of whom were blessed by her generous spirit and loving presence. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the dining hall at Southwest Baptist University (SBU) in Bolivar, Missouri. All who knew and loved Doris are welcome to attend and share in honoring her beautiful life. Doris will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and light will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
