Amazing story from today´s tornado- Steven Terrell holds a vase of flowers that he had just filled up with water and left on the front steps of his house about 30 minutes before a tornado swept through his neighborhood in Gretna. The pressure from the storm sucked the water out of the vase but, amazingly, it didn't knock it over nor crack it. In fact, it was pushed sideways across the bricks, back left, about two feet. The flowers are for the funeral of his sister, Lisa Terrell Clayton, who died last week and whose funeral is tomorrow.

Dear Lisa, as I sit here and think, tears run down my face. We´ve known each other a very long time, but it doesn´t seem long enough. We had such great times together, and I wish we could have more. I´m going to miss your smile and the way you inspired people to be their best. You were such an inspiration to me and all your friends. I could go on and on, but I just want you to know, you were one of my best friends and I am going to miss you. Keep an eye on us sweet angel, we will meet again. I love you. Charlotte Conner-Plute

I´m at a lost for words! I have not seen you in probably 25 years and happen to run into you at the tri-school reunion. I was so happy when I left because I was able to sit with you for a while and laugh about old times as well as catching up. I confided in you over some issues that my daughter poses to me and my family, but you assured me everything was going to be ok! It´s almost like we never lost them 25 years. Now I´m saddened by your loss. May you and your family be at peace. I will miss you my friend and always cherish those days that we shared together. Your friend Always. Rest In Peace Lisa

Thank God for allow Lisa to blossom in our lives. She was true warrior. She shared her ups and downs but it's was her strength that meant the most. She would write quotes for everyone to encourage us. Her kids meant so much to her. She was so excited about her house and car. She was just so happy for the holidays. She gave us all a piece of her. Lisa lived laughed but most of all loved and for that I'm grateful to have met such beautiful light shine. Love you lisa.

She lived laughed and most of all Loved and for that I'm great to have met her. Love you Lisa.

It is so devastating to hear this, and I am so glad I was able to see your beautiful smile recently. You made my childhood and I was glad we were able to look back and have such a laugh over the incredibly ridiculous things we did. You are so loved will be missed deeply by your family and friends. Rest in heaven my friend

My beautiful Lisa, I´m devastated, we grew up together sharing wonderful memories. We always found laughter in times of sadness, you loved hard and always talked about your children and how proud of them you were. The love for your parents and Steven. I will cherish our recent times and talks. My prayers for your children and family. Until we meet again my beautiful friend.
