Lisa Buettner Murray May 18, 1957 - August 22, 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Buettner Murray, age 67, on August 22, 2024. Lisa was born on May 18, 1957, in Houston, Texas, to her loving parents Curtis George Buettner and Lera McSwain. She leaves behind a legacy of artistry, intelligence, and independence. Lisa's journey through life was guided by her immense talents and thirst for knowledge. She graduated from Milby High School and continued her education at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, where she earned her Class D Water Operator certification. She was a dedicated Retail Bakery Manager for wonderbread from the late 1970s until she retired. Throughout her life, Lisa's love for reading and her extensive vocabulary brought her great joy. As a child, her father instilled in her the importance of a strong vocabulary, and this passion for words stayed with her throughout her life. An artist at heart, Lisa found solace in painting. The beauty she created on her canvas reflected her admiration for the works of Thomas Kinkade and colonial-style art. She also expressed herself through the written word and crafted a poem that garnered accolades and recognition. Music was another avenue through which Lisa channeled her spirit. She played the keyboard in a band for many years, delighting audiences with her talent and passion. Lisa's love extended beyond her artistic pursuits. She had a soft spot for animals, and her faithful companion, Vanilla Ice, her dog, brought her immeasurable joy and companionship over the years. Her strength of character and strong will were evident to all who knew her. Lisa was a fiercely independent woman, cherishing her privacy and embracing life on her own terms. In this moment of mourning, Lisa leaves behind her cherished son, Timothy Addison Mckeel, alongside her grandson, Maverick Zayne Mckeel, and granddaughter Alayah Bidwell. Their loss is immeasurable, but the memories they shared with Lisa will forever bring them comfort and solace. Lisa will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear. May she find eternal peace and may her legacy continue to inspire us. The celebration of life service for Lisa Buettner Murray will be held at Providential Baptist Church 4248 Veterans Dr. Pearland, Tx Friday September 6th at 10:30-11:30am then we will follow to South Park cemetery 1310 N Main St. Pearland, TX 77581, for the burial at 12pm Lisa, you will forever be in our hearts.
