Lisa M. (Bergquist) Palmer, age 58, of Acton, lost her valiant battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was the wife of Tack Palmer, with whom she recently celebrated 37 years of marriage.
She was born at Emerson Hospital in Concord on September 21, 1964, as the daughter of the late John Robert Bergquist and Alice (Adler) Bergquist. Lisa graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School with the class of 1983.
She utilized her professional talent in accounting and bookkeeping at Palmer Kennels in Acton, and more recently for Ace Hardware in Westford.
Lisa treasured her second residence in Cape Neddick, Maine and spending time at Long Sands Beach in York. She loved sailing with her Uncle Paul and alongside the Eastpak Backpack sail team in her younger years. She enjoyed gardening and meticulously tending to her home, which she took immense pride in. She put much detail and creativity into every thing, from projects around the house to party planning. When she was diagnosed with cancer, Lisa never let the disease take control of her life. Her resilience and selfless nature never wavered.
In addition to her husband, Tack, she leaves behind her daughter, Kelsey Palmer of Boxborough, three siblings, David Bergquist and his wife Kate of Temple, NH, Tina Goss and her husband Robert of Shirley and Eric Bergquist and his wife Julie of Ayer, two nieces, Kaitlin and Colleen Goss, two nephews, Charlie and Brandon Goss, her uncle, Paul Bergquist of Chatham and his sons Daniel Bergquist of Chatham and Benjamin Bergquist of Idaho, along with many dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours at Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Monday, May 15th from 4 to 7 pm. Her graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 10 am in Woodlawn Cemetery, 104 Concord Road, Acton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lisa's memory may be made to American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
