Lisa Sparkman, a beloved pillar of her family and community, passed away on July 2, 2025, in Roachdale, Indiana, at the age of 61. Born on October 11, 1963, in Manchester, Kentucky, Lisa was known for her fun-loving spirit, charisma, and an unwavering dedication to family. Her stubbornness, often perceived as a fierce determination, endeared her to many, serving as a testament to her vivacious personality.

Lisa cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with joy and laughter. She enjoyed her daily rituals of sipping coffee and engaging in heartfelt conversations, always with a cigarette in hand, relishing the simple pleasures of life.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Edna (Justin) Sparkman-Snider, and her son, Broadus Sparkman Sr. Lisa was also a proud grandmother to Maleah Sparkman, Raina Tillberry, Broadus Sparkman Jr., and Jaiden (Tyler) Eldridge, as well as a doting great-grandmother to Presley Pennington, Patrick Pennington, and Brynlee Eldridge. Her legacy will live on through her siblings, sister Paula Groce and brother Phillip Asher, along with several nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Lisa is preceded in death by her first husband, Cledis Sparkman, who she cherished dearly, her mother Nina Senters Asher, her father Broadus Asher, and her stepson Jonathan Sparkman. She is also mourned by her grandchildren Norella Sparkman, Jonathan Slone, and Baby Jay Snider, who will be remembered fondly by all who knew them.

Lisa Sparkman’s life was a celebration of love, laughter, and lasting connections. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
