Timothy Homer Sparkman, a devoted father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, in his hometown of Mineola, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 8, 1957, Tim brightened the world with his unwavering spirit and extraordinary work ethic. He was known as the hardest and most dedicated worker, often rising before the sun and working tirelessly until sundown. His unparalleled commitment to providing for his family left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Tim found joy in the simple pleasures of life, and nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family. He instilled values of hard work and dedication in his children-Cody and Brandon Sparkman-who admired their father's relentless drive and determination. Tim's love extended to his grandchildren, William, Jacob, Kaytlen, Aleigh, and Luxxen, as well as his great-granddaughter, Ruth. Each moment spent with them was a treasure to him.
Beyond his devotion to family, Tim had a zest for life steeped in varied interests. He found joy in the rhythms of music, especially the soothing tunes of Willie, Waylon, or long time friend Jimmy Godwin which often accompanied his daily activities. He also enjoyed watching football, the rodeo, and NASCAR, reveling in the excitement and thrill they brought. When he wasn't working, you could find him outdoors, enjoying a Chevrolet, possibly drag racing, hunting, or adding to his cherished collection of firearms.
Tim is mourned by his loving family, which includes his sons, Cody and his spouse Kristen and Brandon; grandchildren, William and his spouse Abbey, Jacob, Kaytlen, Aleigh, Luxxen; great-granddaughter, Ruth; his brother, Bobby Sparkman and his spouse Pattie; and his two sisters, Cindy Wiseman and Trish McEnturff; and many adored nieces and nephews who will carry his memory with them always.
He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, James Homer Sparkman and Dorothy Mae Sparkman Stinett, who nurtured his strong character and imparted the values that shaped his life.
A visitation will be held in his honor at the Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Mineola on October 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, October 11, at the New Hope Baptist Church at 10:00 AM.
