Stevick, Lisa Kay passed away on May 12, 2025 surrounded by members of her family. Hers was a sudden and unexpected passing following an emergency surgery on Mother’s Day.

Lisa was born on June 2, 1957 to Jack and Helen Stevick in North St. Louis County. She was a graduate of Riverview Gardens High School and the nursing school of University of Missouri, Columbia. Lisa was a loving mom and a doting “Grandma Lisa.” She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jack David Stevick.

Lisa is survived by her long-time partner, Matt Symonds. Lisa is also survived by her children: Dustin (Lindsey) Bitikofer; Nick (Krysti) Bitikofer and Emma (Mattheis) Lorimor, all currently of the St. Louis area. Lisa loved time with her three grandchildren: Luke and Anna Bitikofer and James Lorimor. She is also survived by her former husband, Dwight Bitikofer.

Lisa recently retired from Nurses for Newborns. Her nursing career included Cardinal Glennon Hospital neonatal unit, Deaconess Hospital and St. John’s Hospital. She also worked for some years as a massage therapist. She participated in United Methodist Church mission trips to Russia, Haiti and El Salvador. She was active for over 25 years in 12-step recovery circles. Lisa and Matt anticipated retirement travels.

A memorial visitation will be on Friday, May 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the John L. Ziegenhein & Sons funeral home at 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, 63129. Services will be on Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd., 63126. There will be a visitation opportunity starting at 10 a.m. prior to the service.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Concord Trinity United Methodist Church or to Nurses for Newborns, 3 Sunnen Drive, St. Louis, MO 63143.
