Lisa Vaden-Harris, 68 of Greensboro, passed away peacefully Thursday September 25th at Beacon

Place at AuthoraCare Collective.

She was born on December 11, 1956, in Greensboro, NC to William (Chilly) and Ann McBane Vaden who

preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband William (Bill) Harris.

She was a graduate of Page High School and then went on to Graduate from Greensboro College. Later

in life she met, fell in love, and married her true love, Bill Harris. They were married 15 years.

She had spent her first career as a flight attendant for various airlines and decided to make a change by

following her passion for teaching and helping children where she worked for Guilford County for over

20 years. During her retirement years, she continued working part-time as a substitute teacher at Ben L.

Smith high school.

She loved the beach, pool as well as cruising with family and friends. She also loved going to play bingo

as well as trying her luck at slots. Spending time with family and friends made her the happiest.

She is survived by her three sisters, Olivia Leigh Vaden, Lizabeth Vaden, Leslie Vaden-Causey (Shawn),

Nephew Will Causey, Cousin Jeanne McBane and many other cousins as well. She is also survived by her

special companion Khevin Sherrill.

The family thanks the wonderful care team at Beacon Place at AuthoraCare Collective. for their care and

compassion. Also, a special thank you to her dear friend Kathryn Parham.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice of Greensboro or a special

organization of your choice in her memory.

A memorial service will be held on Monday October 20th at 3:00PM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of

Greensboro.
