Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin & Hightower Funeral Home - Carrollton on Dec. 8, 2025.
Lisa Walker (Shackleford), age 58, of
Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully with her daughters and mother by her side on December 6, 2025. Born on June 12, 1967, in
Carrollton, Georgia, Lisa was the daughter of Elizabeth Walker and the late James Walker.
Lisa was a precious daughter, loving mom, a doting Nana, and the sweetest friend. Her family will forever cherish her sweet spirit and the simple joys she brought into their lives. Some of her happiest moments were spent in the presence her family, the ones who brought her the deepest joy. She was a nurse for Tanner Medical Center for more than 15 years, worked at the Infusion Center and also served others with in-home care giving. She was a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church where she enjoyed volunteering with youth trips and events, and teaching 4-year-old Sunday School. She loved making memories with her daughters – she made sure to make Christmas the most magical time of the year for them! Her greatest joy came from being a Nana and her babies will forever be grateful for the time they all got to spend with her and making memories they will hold on to for a lifetime.
She clung to Isaiah 41:10 during the last 19 years of her health trials and always trusted God. She was met in heaven by her father she had missed dearly for 5 years.
In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her children: Kristin Janes (Jake Janes), Lorrin Carroll (Jared Carroll), and Caitlin Barrett (Chris Jordan); her grandchildren, Walker Malone, Bo Malone, Hope Malone, Kolbie Janes, Harrison Carroll, and Reed Barrett; and her sisters from 4-East at Tanner Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, 3 infant siblings, and an unborn grandchild.
A graveside service will be held to honor and celebrate Lisa's life on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Community Bible Church Cemetery, with Rev. Chris Altman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Jake Janes, Jared Carroll, Chris Jordan, Walker Malone, Bo Malone, and Harrison Carroll will serve as pallbearers. Reed Barrett will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
While we grieve her loss, we thank God for the blessing of being Lisa Walker's family. She lived a life anchored in faith and devotion to those she loved, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
