It is with great sadness that the family of Lisa Marie White-Shallcross announce her passing on October 3, 2025, at the age of 57. She passed away peacefully at Kaiser Westside Medical Center in Hillsboro, Oregon surrounded by family and friends.
Lisa Marie White was born at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington on May 1, 1968, to Don and Darlene White. She graduated from Beaverton High School in 1986 and attended Portland State University before pursuing a career in insurance. Lisa transitioned into her true passion – education, as a Learning Specialist Assistant with the Tigard-Tualatin School District for the past nine years. She was also a local coordinator at Education Travel and Culture which supported exchange students. Her family hosted five students over the years, giving them the remarkable experience of learning from students and their cultures from all over the globe.
Lisa was a free spirit who loved to dance, sing karaoke, play video games, and always knew how to have fun. She was an 80's aficionado who delighted in attending concerts, her last being Cyndi Lauper. People were drawn to Lisa's warm, bubbly personality and infectious laugh, and she easily made friends wherever she went. She found joy in road trips, gardening, arts and crafts, camping, and doting on her sons. Lisa was an amazing cook and would make pork chops with gravy from scratch along with a special cauliflower dish dubbed "the brain." Lisa was an avid reader and proudly displayed her collection of over 21 Stephen King novels at home. She will never be forgotten for her compassion, her desire to help others, and her warm, generous soul.
Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her spouse of 21 years, Donald Shallcross and their three boys Andrew, Adam and Cooper; her father Don White (Debbie) and brother Donnie White Jr. (April); her stepfather Pat Gibson, stepsister Gena Frison and stepbrothers Chris and Eric Gibson, as well as numerous other family and friends who are heartbroken and miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother Darlene Gibson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, from 1 to 3 pm with a time to share stories at 2 pm at 17895 SW Shadypeak Lane in Beaverton, OR, 97007.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Clackamas Women's Services in Lisa White-Shallcross's honor.
