Lisa Ziegenfuss Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 31, 2024.
Lisa Kay Bucy Ziegenfuss, a captivating soul with an assortment of qualities, was born on October 12, 1970, in the heart of Andrews, Texas, to her adoring parents, Edward and Linda Kay Palma Bucy. She was a burst of color in every room, a ray of sunshine on the gloomiest day, and a source of endless laughter for those lucky enough to know her.
Lisa embarked on her journey of love when she married the charming Ricardo "Richie" Garcia on a day of romance, February 14, 2014, at her grandparents' charming home in Midland, Texas. Together, they began a love story that spanned nine beautiful years.
Her mother, Linda Kay Lorck, preceded her in death on September 12, 2021.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Ricardo Garcia, partner in adventures, and the keeper of her heart; daughter, Victoria Ziegenfuss, her first born, along with her significant other, Michael Gughiocello, and Lisa's precious granddaughter, Sophia Grace, the apple of her eye; daughters, Alexandria Ziegenfuss and Isabella Roy, who inherited her boundless spirit and zest for life; her father and his loving wife, Edward (Betsy) Bucy, whose support and love never wavered; her mother's husband and her bonus dad, Benjamin Lorck; sister, Angela (Reynaldo) Garcia, with whom she shared countless laughter-filled moments, sister, Amanda Bucy, who admired her funny, spontaneous, and compassionate nature, and sister, Angie Lopez, who showed continuous support and love.
Her mother, Linda Kay Lorck, preceded her in death on September 12, 2021.
Lisa was a woman of many facets – funny, spontaneous, compassionate, comical, empathetic, intelligent, witty, spiritual, courageous, breathtakingly beautiful, a true diva, and had a taste for the fancier things in life. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence lit up any room she entered. Lisa's love for music was as colorful as her personality, with a particular fondness for '80s rock.
She excelled in her education as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M, and a bachelor's degree from West Texas A&M. Her dedication to her profession shone through in her work history, where she made a difference at Texas Tech Health Science Center, at Veritas under Dr. Edwards, and at Kingwood Pines Hospital.
Lisa may have left this world, but her colors will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Lisa passed away on January 28, 2024.

She always put a smile on my face. She was there for me when I felt alone, helped me through difficult times and was an inspiration to me.
