Lizzie Della Odell Sosebee Obituary

Born April 15, 1936, in Oconee County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Frank Odell and Roxie Stone Odell. Lizzie and her husband Charles were co-operators of the Seneca VFW Club. She had a great passion for cooking and loved spending time with her family and friends, always enjoying a good time together. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Lizzie is survived by her children, Deborah Cobb (Tommy) of Walhalla, Joetta Donald (Mike) of Seneca, Lodovic Miller (Sharon) of Seneca, Karen Green of North Carolina, Cecilia Lindsey of Seneca, Carla Nicholos of Seneca, Randy Miller (Tammy) of Westminster, and Jeffery Miller of Seneca; her siblings, Ralph Odell, Wesley Odell, Jessie Odell, and Ann Harris; and fourteen grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Sosebee Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lizzie's memory may be made to Seneca Health and Rehabilitation Center, 140 Tokeena Road, Seneca, SC 29678. A message of condolence may be expressed by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.

I am so blessed to have witnessed the beautiful love story of Mrs. Sosebee and her husband, Charles; and to have become friends with her precious daughter, Debra. She will be missed.
