Pete Phillips

Seneca, SC - Pete Phillips, of Seneca, South Carolina, passed away on November 7, 2025, at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born July 25, 1937, in Long Creek, South Carolina, he was a retired employee of Duke Power.
Pete was active in his community and fraternal organizations, holding membership in the Westminster Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Woodmen of the World. He was of the Church of God faith.
He was the devoted husband of the late Charlotte Shirley Haygood Phillips. He is survived by his children, Peter Darryl Phillips of Phenix City, Alabama, and Deborah Ann O'Neal of Huntsville, Alabama; and his sister, Mollie Mae Whitner of Mountain Rest, South Carolina, a special niece, Misty Gossett, and a good friend and caregiver, Jean Owen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Michael Phillips, Peter Phillips Jr., Levone Phillips, and Yvonne Phillips; and his siblings, Cleve Phillips, David Phillips, W. J. Phillips, Wade Phillips Jr., Marcelle Campbell, June Sargent, and Polly Ann Manning.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are accepted.
