MARY SMITH
Mary Ann Pitts Smith, 80, of Westminster, SC passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025 at Prisma Health Oconee Hospital.
Born on May 15, 1945 in Westminster, SC, Mary Ann was the daughter of Robert Pryor and Helen Martin Pitts. She retired from Orchard Park Elementary School. She was a member of Clearmont Baptist Church and found comfort and strength in her faith throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Smith Moore and her husband, Brad; a son, Brian K. Smith; her grandchildren gave her so much joy Tim James (Kasey)of North Carolina, Braden Moore (Alex) of Seneca and Emilee Moore (Caroline) of Liberty; her great-grandchildren put that extra smile on her face Wade, Thatcher, Magnolia and Hazel James and Kensley Moore; her brother Truett Pitts and wife Phyllis; special nieces and nephew- Gwen Gerisch and Nancy Smith of Piedmont, Vickie Veronee of Westminster and Rickey Pitts of Pickens; and her loving companion Steve Smith of Townville, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Annie Bevenia Parson (Beanie) and Virigina Pitts, a brother, Howard Pitts and niece, Jeanette McGaha, and a nephew, Walter Parson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, November 13th, 2025 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with a private family burial service to be held at Clearmont Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
