Lloyd Albert Denney, 91 of Louisville, Kentucky went to be with his Lord on August 26, 2024. He was born on February 8, 1933, to the late Jess and Alta Pearl Denney in Westfield Illinois. Lloyd was a member of the United States Army and served from 1953 until he retired in 1973. He was a member of Ashby Lane Baptist Church, he enjoyed building things, watching his old westerns, and spending time with his grandchildren. Lloyd was loved by everyone and most everyone knew him as “Papaw”. He loved going to car shows and anything that involved classic cars. He was very patriotic and was proud that he served our country. Lloyd will be joining several of his loved ones in heaven, his lovely wife Lillian, son Lloyd Albert Denney Jr. “Butch”, and his stepson Ira Allen Farley. Left behind to carry on Papaw’s love and memories are his daughters Alta Pearl Runner and Dana Faye Helems. Lloyd was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren. He also left behind his two fur best friends, Fluff and Dink. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will then take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 11:00am until 12:00pm with celebration of life to follow at 12:00pm.
