Kristy Paon

Kristyn "Kristy" Paon, aged 35 and cherished by many as a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024, after bravely battling Cystic Fibrosis. Her vibrant spirit and resolute strength profoundly impacted everyone she met.
Daughter to Sandy Paon of Seekonk, MA, where she lived, and the late Paul R. Paon, Kristy was a source of joy and inspiration, especially to her supportive brother, Paul M. Paon of Stratham, NH. Her three beloved pets, constant companions, stayed loyally by her side until her last moments.
Demonstrating remarkable determination, Kristy overcame her health challenges to achieve academically. A graduate of Bishop Feehan in Attleboro, MA, she defied her doctors' concerns and earned a Bachelor's degree from Umass Dartmouth in just three years instead of their five-year recommendation. Beyond academics, Kristy was known for her wit and versatility as a bartender, delighting patrons with her playful impersonations and accents.
Kristy's creative flair was evident in her hobbies. She was a popular TikTok influencer, engaging over 77,000 followers with imaginative pet videos. Her skill in training her dogs and understanding her cat Orion's unique needs showcased her deep connection with her pets. Kristy also found joy in Diamond Painting, completing numerous beautiful pieces, and was a passionate cook, always striving for culinary perfection. Her talent as a classical pianist added another layer to her multifaceted personality.
Committed to contributing positively, Kristy was a recipient of a Make-A-Wish Foundation trip to Disney World at age 9, a cherished childhood memory. She actively supported the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Rhode Island and notably advocated for comprehensive health coverage in Washington DC, making a significant impact as a young representative for Cystic Fibrosis.
Despite her illness, Kristy fulfilled her long-time dream to travel to Hawaii, creating lasting memories in Kauai, like horseback riding on the beach. Her adventurous spirit shone through these experiences, demonstrating her refusal to be defined by her disease.
Kristy's life, though brief, leaves an enduring legacy of joy, resilience, and love. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and online community, all of whom were touched by her infectious laugh and radiant smile. Her spirit continues to inspire those who knew her.
A celebration of Kristy's extraordinary life will be held in the Spring, honoring the unforgettable impact she made on the world.
