One of my Dearest, and closest childhood friends. Lloyd and I were literally child hood friends who grew up together. Our parents were in the produce business so we traveled every year from Salinas to the Imperial Valley. Seven months in Salinas, and five months in the Imperial Valley.Lloyd, and Whitey both were just as close to me as brothers, we laughed, we cried, we fought, like I said, we were as close as brothers. We played baseball at Closter Park from sun up till sun down every Saturday morning. We had the same friend´s in many circles due to the fact that most of our friend´s parents were also in the Produce business, so we all travel to and from Salinas to El Centro, sometimes are families chose to live in Holtville. We actually had a great time in our travels. The friend´s who traveled with us to, and from the Valley became our closest, and Life long friend´s. The Friend´s to name a few, myself, Whitey, Lloyd, Stan Herrin, Stan Silva, Chuck Pierce, We remained inseparable throughout our lifetime.
Bra, and Art had a large family room built on the back of their home which became the party, and entertainment hub for all the boy´s through Jr. High, and High School. We all loved hanging out there. Bra, and Art were exceptionally generous with the big addition. It kept all of us close to home, The Band´s the boy´s started up were a great source of togetherness,
I will cherish all of the memorable years spent in both Salinas, and the Valley..,
Love To A Fallen Brother, I meet you on the other side my friend...
