Lloyd Arnold Smith

Lloyd Smith, 62 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2026 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny White officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Lloyd Arnold Smith was born on July 21, 1963 in Mansfield, Missouri to Thomas McDonald "Don" and Patsy Jorene (Gray) Smith. Lloyd grew up in Seymour, Missouri and attended Seymour Schools. He was united in marriage to Tamra LeAnn Waggoner on August 3, 1987 in Canadian, Texas. They made their first home in Woodward and have lived here since that time. Lloyd worked as a Pipeline Operator in the Oilfield and has been a rancher for many years.
He enjoyed taking care of his cattle and he loved spending time with family. Lloyd also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lloyd loved picking Stratton up to go help him with work. Their specialty was usually chicken strips. He was so proud of Stratton. Lloyd was so excited for his doodle bug to get her license. The first trip home from the hospital Harps gave him the most exciting ride of his life. Hitting the railroad tracks at 50 mph with no braking at all. He was so proud of Harper and Stratton.
He was a long time member of the API.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Tamra Smith of the home; one son, Kiowa Smith and wife Shelbree; daughter, Kylee Cather and husband Garrett; two nieces who he considered bonus daughters: Monica Hayes and fiancé Tony Stolzy, Courtney Gaisford and husband Lincoln; grandchildren: Harper Rhye Cather and Stratton Creed Cather; three bonus grandchildren, Chyles Ranee Hayes, Jarred Crew Hayes, and Joshua Ethan Carney; brothers: Bud Smith and wife Carole of Woodward, Don Smith and wife Mia of Marshfield, Missouri: sisters: Helen Philpott and husband David of Seymour, Missouri, Harriett Pierson and husband Larry of Ava, Missouri, Wanda Holloway and husband David of Springfield, Missouri, Kathy Maze and husband Mike of Springfield, Missouri, Tammy Baird and husband Brian of Seymour, Missouri; father-in-law, Ronnie Waggoner and wife Charolette; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Troy Waggoner and wife Monica of Canute; other relatives and many nieces and nephews he loved.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, his mother Patsy, mother-in-law, Zeta, and sister-in-law Tony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
