Four Oaks, NC: Lloyd Bruce Stewart, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 22, at 3:00PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Rev. Murray King will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Princeton Cemetery.
Bruce was born on January 28, 1949 in Johnston County to the late, Lloyd Daniel Stewart and Mattie Lucille Toole Stewart. Along with his parents Bruce was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Beth Stewart Fleming; and his faithful canine companion, Winston.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patsy Johnson Stewart; his daughter, Tracy Parker and husband Ben; his son, Lloyd David Stewart and girlfriend Karen Beasley; son in law, Richard Carl Fleming, MD.; and his son, Stephen Bruce Stewart and wife Beth Collier Stewart. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Caleb Revell, Gabriel Lloyd Stewart, and Luke Daniel Stewart.
Bruce was a lifelong resident of Devil’s Racetrack Road. He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He worked as a long-distance truck driver for 53 years and retired from Walmart. You could often find him at the local store, talking and passing the time while keeping up with community changes and the latest happenings during his travels on the road.
In retirement, Bruce enjoyed daily school pickup duties for his grandchildren. He also loved spending time in his vehicle, talking on the phone.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 22 from 2:00PM to 2:45PM at the Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
