Lloyd G. Williams, 81, of Gladstone, Missouri passed away on April 12, 2024.
Lloyd was born on January 30, 1943 in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Lloyd A. and Lottie Williams. He grew up in California, Missouri and had always been a hard worker even in his youth. After moving to the Kansas City area, Lloyd began has career with the Ford Claycomo Plant where he worked on the assembly line as a relief man for 30 years. Lloyd married the love of his life, Dixie Kurtz, on July 27, 1963. They were blessed with 46 years of marriage and four daughters. He had a lifelong fascination with automobiles and spent time working on cars, racing, and enjoying the peace and fresh air of driving out in the country. When we wasn’t behind the wheel he enjoyed watching western movies, playing pool, and spending time with his family.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife, Dixie; father, Lloyd Andrew Williams; mother and step-father, Lottie and Lee Inman, sister, Sharon George; brother, Terry; and son-in-law, Larry Smith. He will be fondly rememebred and greatly missed by his daugters, Tina Jackson, Laurie Smith, Gidget (Aaron Holle) Williams, and Stacy (David Bravard); grandchildren, Phillip (Monica) Smith, Anthony Williams, Nathan Jackson, Kevin (Carmen) Williams, Tiffany Jackson, Frankie Jo (Sara) Williams, Robert (Amy Morris-Smith) Smith, Shleby Smith, Alisha Bravard, and Alex Bravard; 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, Kurt Jackson; sisters-in law by marriage, Odea Lara, Cindy Grooms, and Joyce Goodman; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
