Logan Miller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 1, 2012.
Logan Kee Miller, 22, passed away on August 1, 2012, due to injuries sustained from a fall while hiking with his beloved dog and best friend, Luna. Logan was born July 31, 1990, to Kee L. Miller and Juanita (Weber) Hooker in Orem, Utah. He was a fighter from his first moment, having been born premature and struggling to take his first breath. He was 2nd to an older sister, Eva, and was later followed by a younger brother, Dakota. Logan was born with a partially developed left arm and amazingly overcame all challenges presented to him. He taught himself to play the drums and loved to play, often recording covers to post under MegaCorpus on YouTube. Logan performed with the ROC: Remembering Our Culture group for two years and loved sharing his Navajo heritage, often dancing in powwows. He could do anything and everything, his determination was an inspiration to the end. Logan loved his family very much, and had a very strong, unique devotion to his brother and sister. He had a handsome smile and dimples and brought much laughter to his numerous cousins and relatives. He had a wonderful, unique gift for making every one feel loved and was very protective and watchful of others and their well being. He was a very kind and gentle soul and loved to laugh. He enjoyed making life fun for everyone around him. Logan was a very brave young man who never turned down a challenge and was always willing to protect those close to him. Logan graduated from Springville High School in 2009 and was attending Utah Valley University to major in Computer Science. He had an aptitude for anything technical and could fix everything. Logan is survived by his parents, Kee Miller of Springville and Juanita Hooker of Mapleton; his older sister, Eva, of Orem; and younger brother, Dakota, of Provo; seven older stepsiblings; his dog Luna, and his wonderful girlfriend, Brittany, whom he loved for the last three years. He also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and his maternal grandparents. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Dr. Keith Hooker, his paternal grandparents M. Lee and Bonne (Read) Miller, uncles Dana and Brent Miller, cousin Nakota Tolino, stepbrother Kory Hooker, and Elvis, his most precious black lab, all who greeted him on the other side. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, 11:00am at the Mapleton 16th Ward, 1316 South Main, Mapleton, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to the services from 9:30am to 10:30am at the church.
