Lois Marie Brown

Lois Marie Brown, age 87, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison.
She was born March 9, 1938, at Oark, to Burr Calvin and Dessie Mae Harden. Shortly after graduating high school, she married the love of her life, Dellis Brown, on July 2, 1960, in Harrison. She worked for many years as a machinist for Duncan Industries and was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists. Lois loved gardening, watching hummingbirds, being outdoors, and spending time laughing with her children. She was also quite the snake wrangler and never shied away from a challenge. Her quick wit, strong spirit, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and best friend, Dellis Brown; a daughter, Sandra Dee Ricketts; five brothers, Kenneth, Gene, Luther, Glen, and Calvin Harden; and four sisters, Bernice Cowell, Velma Stone, Leann Pelts, and Mollie Dickerson.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Bethany Brown of Harrison; two grandchildren, Kelley (James) Vance of Lowell and Andrew Venegas of Harrison; one great-grandchild, Jaxon Vance of Lowell; and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Holt Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be prior to the service, from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
