Ginger Rena Bentley, 70, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born November 25, 1954, at Harrison, to James Virgil and Tina Lucille Edmonson Gregory. On May 5, 1988, she married Aubrey Ray Bentley Sr. at Charleston. She was a former member of Pangburn Baptist Church and worked for many years as a compassionate CNA for Baptist Health Home Health.
Ginger was a wonderful wife and mother who found great joy in being a Mama, Grammy, and Great Grammy. She had a gift for sewing, which she began at just four years old by making clothes for her dolls. From making matching dresses for her little girls to sewing wedding and bridesmaid dresses for them and burp rags for the grandbabies and dishcloths to go in stockings, she showed her love for others by sharing her talents with them.
She enjoyed spending time with her fur baby, Lady; collecting unique glassware; and cooking delicious homestyle meals, with brown beans and cornbread being one of her specialties. Ginger never met a stranger-she made everyone feel welcomed and special. She inherited a fun-loving sense of humor from her mother and was known for her playful pranks, especially with new members of the family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jimmie Lou Gregory; and a grandchild, Benicio Maldonado.
Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Bentley of Harrison; four daughters, Amy (John) Richardson of Harrison, Bethany (Ronnie) Wheeler of Malvern, Carrie (Ladd) Richter of Harrison, and Dana Allen of Little Rock; three brothers, Gary (Mary Ellen) Gregory of Berryville, Bueford Gregory of Omaha, and Roger (Sue) Gregory of Cassville, Missouri; a sister, Mae Ruth (Larry) Silvey of Ava, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Kindall, Mattie, Riley, Carrah (Tyler), Alexandria, Adam, Aggie, Edward, Samuel, and Kolbe; three great-grandchildren, Hendrix, Samorah, and Ezra; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Holt Memorial Chapel with Pastor Denver Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Adam Richter, Edward, Samuel, and Kolbe Dodge, Ladd Richter, John Richardson, Ronnie Wheeler, and Tyler Wenta. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary, Bueford and Roger Gregory, and Larry Silvey.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to The Call of Boone County, 715 West Sherman Avenue, Suite C, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.
