Lois Hunley Clark

Lois Hunley Clark, of London, Kentucky, was born on October 3, 1945, in Bell County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Everett Hunley and Bertha Norton Fabian. She was united in marriage to Ernest Lee Clark Sr., who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children: Cheri Carpenter Sibert and husband Earnest of London; Ernest Clark II and wife Angie of Hersey, Michigan; and Phillip Carpenter and wife Michelle of Lexington, Kentucky. She is also survived by two brothers, Stanley Hunley and James Hunley, both of London; seven grandchildren, Patrick Philpot, Kayla Philpot, Clint Carpenter, Haleigh Carpenter, Henry Clark, Anthony Clark, and Amelia Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Camdyn Chaney and Asher Jones.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was also preceded in death by two siblings, Fred Hunley and Helen Smith.

Lois retired after a dedicated career as a bookkeeper in the banking industry. She was a member of First Baptist Church of London and will be remembered for her steady faith, kind spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Lois Hunley Clark departed this life on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 12 days.

The funeral service for Lois Hunley Clark will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Hacker officiating. Burial will follow in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6 pm Tuesday at Bowling Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Philpot, Clint Carpenter, Henry Clark, Anthony Clark, David Hunley and Michael Hunley.
