Lois June Drury, age 88, of Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, Chanute, Kansas. Lois was born October 8, 1937, in Wisner, Nebraska, to Clinton Trayler and June (Morgan) Trayler.
On September 21, 1958, Lois married Richard Drury in Iola, Kansas. They were happily married for 55 wonderful years. They made their home in Iola and raised four daughters. According to Lois, they were a joy to raise. Lois kept the records for the family business, Drury Lawn Service.
Lois was a lifetime member of Iola First Assembly of God Church, where she was actively engaged in the women's ministry, taught Sunday school, played the piano, and sang during praise and worship. She was a member of Gideons International Association, alongside her husband, Richard.
Lois wrote and composed her own music and started His Way Ministries with her daughter, Tammy Drury. Together, they joined forces with Freedom Ministries and ministered through song to prisoners throughout Kansas.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Grace Traylor; husband, Richard Drury; son-in-law, Kyle Martin; and grandson, Jamies Martin.
Lois is survived by daughters, Tammy Drury, Iola, Kansas, June Martin-Reno (Darrin Reno), Iola, Kansas, Sandra Drury, Humboldt, Kansas, Rachel McCullough (Garry), Saint Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Jesse Martin, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jenell Martin and Michael Bain, Overland Park, Kansas, Tiffany Martin, Iola, Kansas, Dustin Mccullough, Saint Joseph, Missouri, Nicole Martin, Saint Joseph, Missouri, Charlie and TJ Metzger, Salina, Kansas, Shelton Reno, Iola, Kansas, Shelby and Blake Mittelmeier, Iola, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Corey, Jaxen, Jensen, Jada, Braxtin, Isabelle, Kyler, Cameron, Remington, Lena; and great-great-grandchild, Aurora.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Rivertree Christian Church, 301 West Miller Road, Iola, Kansas.
There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will follow the memorial service in Fairview Cemetery, Mildred, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Gideons International, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas.
