Dustin Eugene Vanatta, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away November 12, 2025.

Born in Iola, Kansas to Max and Kim (Dickerson) Vanatta, Dustin grew up with an ornery spirit, a competitive drive, and a deep respect for hard work that shaped every chapter of his life.

Dustin attended Neosho County Community College, studying general education before stepping confidently into the construction field. Driven, skilled, and motivated, he eventually became part owner of Beatty Construction, earning the respect of clients, coworkers, and friends alike. His workmanship, dependability, and leadership were well known throughout the community, and passed down to his sons.

One of Dustin's greatest callings was fatherhood. He poured his heart into raising his three sons, Caleb, Zachary, and Joshua, teaching them the game of baseball, the value of teamwork, and the meaning of confidence and discipline. More importantly, he showed them what it meant to be a good man and a devoted father. His mother often said his boys were the "spitting image" of him, a reflection he wore with pride. He fostered each son's passions, getting Caleb into golf, encouraging Josh's love for the outdoors, and working shoulder to shoulder with Zach in the woodworking trade, a legacy Zach is honored to carry forward.

Dustin met the love of his life, Dana, through mutual friends, and together they built a strong and steady partnership rooted in faith and family. They raised their children in the same church where they were married, Faith Assembly of God in Humboldt, creating a foundation of values that their family continues to uphold.

As a child, Dustin loved all sports, learning early the importance of teamwork, confidence, and character, lessons he later passed down to his sons. As an adult, he found joy in golfing, woodworking, time outdoors, and watching the New York Yankees. Whether on the jobsite, at the ballfield, or at home, Dustin was known as a loyal friend and an extraordinary father, reliable, fair, and unwavering.

Becoming a grandfather brought Dustin a new kind of joy. His grandchildren, Camden, Kennedy, Olivia, and Emberlyn, knew him as "Grandfather," a title he cherished deeply. He was always the first to hold them, defend them, and proudly stand at their side.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Dana Vanatta; his parents Max and Kim Vanatta; his three sons, Caleb Vanatta, Zach and wife Lindsey Vanatta, and Josh Vanatta; his grandchildren, Camden, Kennedy, Olivia, and Emberlyn; and his sisters, Aimee and Jaelinn, along with a host of extended family and friends who deeply admired him.

He leaves behind a legacy of strength, commitment, and love, one that will continue through the hands and hearts of his sons and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 21, 2025 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. The family will greet friends and family at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. The Family deeply appreciates memorial contributions made in Dustin's Honor in place of flowers. Memorial Contributions in Dustin's Honor may be made to the Humboldt Golf Association or Beatty Construction, and left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
