Obituary of Lois Farrell
Lois Farrell, of Billerica, formerly of Woburn and Malden, passed away at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading on Tuesday morning, May 27, 2025. She was 86 years of age.
Born and raised in Malden, she was the youngest of four children of the late James T., and the late Florence (Dobbins) Farrell. Lois was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1956.
Lois worked for the Raytheon Technical Services Division in Burlington, retiring in 2003. She loved to travel and had made three trips to Sweden. Lois was an active and faithful member of the Church of the Open Bible in Burlington.
In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, the late James T. Farrell, Jr.; and her two sisters, the late Jane Elizabeth (Farrell) Erlandson, and the late Arlene (Farrell) Peterson. She is survived by four nieces and nephews, David Erlandson of Billerica, MA, Cynthia Hail of Riverside, RI, Debra Kraytenberg of Londonderry, NH, and Craig Peterson of Woodinville, WA. She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Lois was a close and life-time friend of both Krissandra Holmes of Reading, MA, and Carol Moff of Williamsburg, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held at the Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest St., Malden on Saturday, June 7 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lois' memory may be made to the Church of the Open Bible, 3 Winn St., Burlington, MA 01803.
